Randomozo Web Identity

A rebranding that I did for Randomozo. I completely overhauled his online identity, connecting his various online aspects with a singular theme and logo. His main request was that a phoenix be involved. I used a simple, recognizable image to create a sense of elegance.

My personal brand identity as Footnote Designs. I chose to use an asterisk because it is almost universally recognized as a footnote indicator. The simple black and grey color scheme and the blocky, sans-serif font makes the design simple, sleek, clean, and modern looking. Putting the text on ribbons or banners gives it a formal or important look. Making the card artsy in themselves was important to me because it not only serves as information, but also is the first impression and first look at my work that a potential customer will see. Overall, I went for a clean, organized feel.

Paperback Scrawl Ep Cover

A friend of mine approached me to create a simple EP cover for his solo band project called Paperback Scrawl. He told me that he saw a chalk drawing of a songbird riding on top of a whale, and he wanted that as the basis of the cover. I took this and basically made it the entire cover. The simple, two color design reflects the music, which is just one, sometimes two, acoustic guitars and vocals. The yellow/cream color gives it an old, folkish tone, while the blue, in addition to complementing the cream, represents the water that I had cut from the design. I added a very minimal texture as well as a simple pseudo-3D effect to the text to give the cover a little more depth. You can listen to Paperback Scrawl online here and find him on Facebook here (Links opens in new tab).

Brand Identity for a freelance photographer. She operates under the name Open Door Photography, so I went with a simple, recognizable image of an open door cut out of a black circle to give the logo more weight. The two drastically different fonts in and under the banner provide a contrast and make the logo interesting to the eyes. I also made a banner for her site, which you can visit here (Link opens in new window).

The couple I was designing the nautical themed invites for decided that they wanted to change the style of the invites to a more "Arts and Crafts-y" feel. I went with a more playful, handwritten style font and separated the content into 5 heart shapes which they then cut out and connected them with string. I enforced the rope/knot themes by using the phrase "tying the knot" and using the rope as separators for content. I also brought a few of the elements over from the previous design, which can be seen here (link will open in new window). This is the final design that the couple decided to go with. Printed on a cream colored card stock.

Nautical Themed Wedding Invites

Inside

Outside

The couple is having a nautical themed wedding, so they requested seashells, starfishes, sand dollars, and rope. We went with a two fold layout, with the RSVP card perforated so that people can remove it and send it back. I incorporated the rope in an ornate & sign and added the other details to fill in the space and to separate the content to make it easier to find certain details.
